We build armor to protect ourselves from hurt, rejection, and shame. This armor, constructed in childhood or through trauma, served us once. But as we grow, it becomes a cage that blocks intimacy and joy.
Shedding the Weight
Recognizing the armor is the first step. Are you using anger to cover fear? Silence to hide shame? In the brotherhood, we practice lowering our guards in a safe space, learning that we can survive being seen.
